(hide this warning on this page)The Structural Biology Core Laboratory has state-of-the-art instrumentation and expert staff to enable detailed structural and biophysical studies of biological macromolecules in human health and disease. Existing strengths include X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy in addition to resources and infrastructure to assist users with protein production and characterization. A new cryo-EM facility for single particle analysis and structure determination came online in Spring 2022.
Publications and presentations which result from data collected in our facility must acknowledge our grant support. Without this support, we would be forced to charge higher fees for instrument time and core services. Please include the following in your acknowledgements: “We acknowledge the Structural Biology Core at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio which is supported by the Cancer Therapy and Research Center through the NCI P30 Grant CA054174 and Texas State funds provided through the Office of the Vice President for Research of UT Health at San Antonio.”
