Overview of Service

Recent advances in genomic, epigenomic, proteomic and biophysical analyses at the single-cell level have greatly improved our understanding of intra-tissue heterogeneity, characterization of exfoliated and circulating single cells, and therapeutic response.

At the Bioanalytics and Single-Cell (BASIC) Core, we provide cutting-edge multiscale single-cell omics pipelines and multiplex technologies for advancing the discovery of biomarkers and therapeutic targets of various disease types.

WE OFFER

Atomic Force Microscope - NanoWizard 5 for biophysical assessment of cells and ECM.
Helios mass cytometer(CyTOF) - for detection with up to 50 markers for single cells.
Lunaphore COMET - for iterative immunofluorescence staining with up to 40 antibodies per tissue section.

The BASiC core was established by the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas: RP150600, and is currently supported by the Office of Research and Innovation at UTSA.
